For everyone that is starting or
thinking of starting an internet
income I think this is a must read
from Marlon Sanders.
"I Challenge You"
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I have a challenge for you today.
Are You A 5%'er or a 95%'er?
So it's crazy.
I'm sure there will be some heat in the Internet marketing industry
because government agencies will look at IM'ers and say, "Hey,
95% don't make that much, if any."
And that sucks.
But here's what they will NOT be looking at...
The 5% who do WELL are the 5% who actually take consistent action,
and manage to plow through a few obstacles and learning curves.
The good news for YOU is that if you manage to get off the sofa,
sit at your computer and do something OTHER than check your email,
play games and read the news, you're not far away from being in
the 5%.
And it also means that you can pretty easily stand out in a lot of
markets because your competition has all the action-taking muscle
and prowess of a pet rock!
Here's the question:
Are YOU a 5%'er or a 95%'er?
Do you take consistent action, overcome obstacles and tackle
the learning curve it takes to do Camtasia, create a mindmap,
record a screen capture video or do basic html?
Can you manage to talk in a microphone at your computer desk
for 1-3 hours as you record it so you have a product to sell?
Or is that too superhuman a task for you?
That's really the bottom line.
Now I KNOW you may feel you have nothing to talk about. There
are several cures for that:
1. You research a topic.
It doesn't take a lot of research on a nice, narrowly defined
topic to know more than most people.
I'll give you an example.
I decided to study the topic of business growth....secrets of
growing a business.
I ordered ALL the books on Amazon.com on the topic. That was
maybe 40 or 50 books. MOST of them were sheer junk or had
almost no usable ideas.
A few had good ideas that were the rehash of the ideas in a
better book.
There are maybe FIVE good books on the topic in the whole
entire accessible body knowledge of how to grow a business.
FIVE.
So maybe it takes a month to read those 5 books and scan all
the ones that suck.
After a month, you know more about how to grow a business than
99% of small business owners.
And frankly, you know more than most people who have written a
book on the topic.
Tell me that at that point you can't write u a little mindmap
and talk one to three hours on the topic more intelligently
than most people could.
2. Sell affiliate products
While I'm a major advocate of creating your own product because
I think it's an accomplishable task with a modicum of effort,
I'll acknowldge that you CAN also just get people on an email
list and send out affiliate offers to start with.
a. Create an enticing report, screen capture video, PDF or
whatever.
b. Promote with banners, Google ads, or inbound linking to
organic keyword terms.
c. Create a squeeze page that squeezes an email address out of
the reader, so that you can follow up with emails.
d. Follow up with emails about affiliate products.
While there are things not commonly known to others that work,
things we call "secrets," to do the basics is NOT rocket science.
The rocket science is in getting off the sofa and doing something.
I spoke at Unseminar in San Antonio yesterday.
Someone asked me what event or events have I seen that stun me
the most like John Reese's first spectacular day.
I said, "Customers who actually put in the effort to do what I
teach. When I see THAT, it astounds me!"
So I'm at Unseminar.
The room is full of bright, motivated people who are actually
taking action. It's a positive, energizing, uplifting wonderful
experience to see people who actually "get it."
One guy I met actually quit his truck driving job to do IM.
Not really something I recommend until you have a marketing system
that's working.
Still, the guy really understands what he needs to do and is
committed to doing it.
How refreshing!
Are you a 5%'er or a 95%'er?
The fun, the challenge, the excitement, the glory -- ALL the
good things happen to the 5%'ers while the other 95%'ers all
just sit in amazement wondering "how did that happen?"
So Pat O'Bryan is the mind behind Unseminar.
Pat was a blues musician who traveled the world for many
years. His songs are STILL getting a lot of playtime in
Europe. And his royalty check is $350 a month.
He can duplicate that in Internet marketing with very little
effort.
You choose keywords. Write and submit 10 ariticles a day.
Put up one adsense site a day.
After 1-4 months you have that much coming in. Read the thread
in Warrior Forum I told you about last week if you want to see
how to do that.
Really, it isn't rocket science. I don't even like Adwords
because you're at the whim of Google. My point is, $350 a month
is 10 bucks a day.
And you need maybe a few successful adsense sites to make that.
You choose keywords with an SOC under 20 using the method I
show on this video:
http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=MmjYO&m=L3gQcyNr9Yr&b=FUisOirKDZrtUoIBb1_AXg
SEO means "strength of competition". It means the keywords
are relatively easy to ran for. If you submit 10-20 articles
using those keywords as anchor text in the bio or resource
box, you'll have enough backlinks to rocket to the top.
See my seo cheat sheet from this past week. Dig it out of
your email box.
Then you need a few pages with 500 words on them and
adsense ads. That's all John does. I sent out an email last
week about that also.
Go BACK to your email, dig and you'll find it also.
I talked to Carl at unseminar yesterday. He actually sets
aside a "Marlon day" where he goes through and reads all
my emails.
Smart man. I send out a lot of nuggets.
Now, if you want another way to do the deal, you do click
swaps and send people to a squeeze page. On the thank
you page you have an offer.
Jit worked his way up to 15 G's a month starting from scratch
doing that over the past year.
It'd take about one or two click swaps a month to knock out the
$350 a month.
These methods are all there.
They work.
But ONLY for 5%'ers. They do NOT work for 95%'ers. I guarantee
it.
Why?
Because they ONLY work if you DO them. And usually there are
a few obstacles along the way or a bit of a learning curve.
The 5%'ers plow through. The 95%'ers let it stop them.
I absolutely, positively guarantee that if you do not take
action on what I teach you won't make a dime from it.
I guarantee that.
Consistency helps.
I see these posts all the time about seo of "I TRIED submitting
articles for links to my web site and my keyword still isn't
ranking. HELP!"
What you find out is just that.
They have ONE keyword.
They tried one time.
And they didn't keep learning and doing.
Learning + doing = results, sooner or later
That formula is magic...
The 5%'ers realize that some phrases work and some don't. Just
like anything else. Not everything works.
So you keep working your keyword phrases.
And then there's the Tipping Point.
Almost all things in nature work on a tipping point basis.
You put in a lot of effort and THEN you cross the Tipping Point
and your ranking kicks in or the money kicks in or your product
starts selling.
It's like a glass of water filled to the brim. Some drops won't
cause it to spill over. But that last Tipping Point drop does.
Most people want to learn secrets.
There are secrets.
Little shortcuts and tricks and things that work you learn along
the way.
But here's the biggest shortcut:
Getting off your assets and doing something. Then learning from
what you did and doing more. Then learning from that and doing
more.
And yes, info products, mentoring, education, guidance can
drastically shorten the learning curve. But it will never erase
it.
There is always a learning curve.
So are you a 5%'er or a 95%'er?
The 95%'ers worry me.
They're the ones the FTC will look at and say, "Hey, your results
aren't a generally expected result."
It's sort of true.
The generally expected result is that people watch TV, eat bon bons
and dream of a better life, no matter what ebook, course or info
product they buy, nor for the most part how much they pay for it.
(Not that I've never sat on my sofa eating bon bons and look
wistfully in the distance dreaming dreams..}
If you can take action and be a 5%'er you're a freak.
You're practically super human according to how the government sees
it.
You're weird.
You're strange.
To think, you learn something and actually do it.
Then overcome little blips or obstacles along the way.
Or you tackle a learning curve on a software program.
Or you spend some time to research a topic so you can create a
product on it.
You're a super freak if you do that.
According to some anyway.
All the good things happen to the 5%'ers. The others just watch,
hope, wait and dream of the day their ship will come in.
Just sit.
Just watch.
Keep watching.
Keep lookin'.
Maybe that ship'll come in.
Or not.
Where's the fun, excitement, thrill or glory in that?
Are you traveling on the road less traveled?
Are you a super freak?
Are you a 5%'er who takes action?
Or are you a sofa sitting bon bon eater who prefers to dream of a
ship coming in without having to lift a finger or encounter any
unpleasantness whatsoever in causing that to happen?
At least you can be honest about it.
That's a start.
I think I'll start the sofa sitting bon bon eating 12-step support
group.
Then I'll start the super freak group. Where 5%'ers hang out.
Those are the ones who actually show up on Ateam calls.
To you, I offer my admiration, respect and congratulations.
You are super freakin'.
MY CHALLENGE: If YOU are a 5%'er, do something, anything I teach,
get it to work and post the results on my blog.
I openly challenge ANY 5%'er reading my ezine to stand up and show
me that you are that extremely rare breed. Do something ANYTHING
I teach in one of my ebooks or my Dashboards, get a result, even
it's a small one and post a comment on my blog in response to any
post or article.
I'll see your comment.
Out of around 50,000 people on my list, I actually want to see if
I even have ten or twenty 5%'ers. THAT is how little competition you
have in this business.
Think about it.
You don't gotta have world class results. You just gotta step up
to the plate and show me you can do anything I teach in any of my
paid products and get a result with it.
Show me you took ONE icon in a Dashboard and actually did it. Show
me you took ONE idea in Amazing Formula and did it.
Show me me you took one idea out of any of my paid products and did
it. And post the PROOF of action on my blog as a comment response to
any of my blog posts or ezines there.
I challenge you.

P.S. In the spirit of complete compliance, here is my
new disclaimer:
=======================================================
Ain't NONE of the results in NONE of the web pages
below anything remotely resembling AVERAGE nor typical."
People who succeed at stuff possess superhuman,
freakish ability and you should NOT assume you fall
in that elite class of superhumans. You' ain't never
gonna amount to nothing so just give it up. That's
my disclaimer. My generally expected result I'm pretty
sure I can substantiate is 01. And if you work really
hard, read well and follow all the instructions
you too can end up in this elite class.
=======================================================
Get off your assets.
Hope you enjoyed, but more I hope that you do.
